“We frequently have extraordinary encounters with the pilgrims on the
Route of Santiago de Compostela, and we are both witnesses and are
involved in lots of sharing.
Take for example the story about the encounter between a major
industrialist and a wage‐earning worker, who were very unlikely to ever
meet, if it hadnʼt been for the Route… They struck up a conversation,
shared their experiences and got to like each other. Ever since, they
regularly come back to Nasbinals to celebrate the anniversary of that
encounter which had a huge impact on their lives.
Our professional experience as welcomers is extremely enriching from a
human perspective. We see many people getting a new lease for life, or
recovering their health, be it physical or moral.”
